About Miss Pickering...
Simone Pickering, is the owner and creative force behind Miss Pickering. After Stamford High School, and King's College London, Miss Pickering has had a varied career in food, fashion and even neurosurgical equipment sales, before eventually fulfilling a childhood ambition to work with flowers. Having lived in Notting Hill, Milan and most of France, Miss Pickering now lives in Rutland with her hound.

The Hound is in fact a Saluki cross lurcher, a rescue dog, he is partial to roast chicken and butternut squash. His favourite flower is eucalyptus. For more information on lurchers see www.lurcher.org
Miss Pickering is often asked what her favourite flower is. Whilst it might change throughout the year, scented paperwhites in spring, sweetpeas and vibrant dahlias in the summer; her absolute favourite is Lily of the Valley.
In between making bouquets, Miss Pickering likes nothing better than to sit down with a nice cup of Earl Grey tea (no milk) and a bar of Caramac.
Miss Pickering believes very passionately about using locally grown flowers. Stamford is perfectly situated close to fabulous growers, local flowers are delivered just after being cut. Anenomes, tulips, lillies, dahlias, sweetpeas, and daffodils to name just a few.
Whilst in W11 Miss Pickering could quite often be found in E and O drinking Espressotinis and eating duck and watermelon salad. She is now more likely to be found drinking a nice glass of Chablis, and eating a pizza in the Tobie Norris (just a few doors up from the shop) St. Paul's street also boasts Simpole-Clarke for delicious cheeses and breads, Attic boutique for girly essentials, Finnans Brasserie, and Stamford hand car wash.
